The Tarot Seasons, a four-part cover showing beginning, growing, harvesting, and letting go

The Tarot Seasons: A Spread for Beginning, Growing, Harvesting, and Letting Go

Read the year as a living spread

Some weeks are for starting. Some are for tending the thing you started. Some are for admitting that the harvest is smaller than you hoped, or that a season has ended even though the calendar says otherwise.

Tarot becomes wonderfully practical when you let the seasons ask the question.

The four-card seasonal spread

  • Begin: What wants a first step?
  • Grow: What needs steady attention?
  • Harvest: What can I acknowledge or use now?
  • Release: What is taking energy without giving life back?

Draw this spread at an equinox, solstice, birthday, or ordinary Monday when you can feel a chapter turning.

The Seven of Pentacles in the Harvest position might ask you to stop measuring a growing thing by its final result. The Death card in Release may point to a role you have outgrown, not a catastrophe. The Ace of Wands in Begin is exciting, but it still needs a calendar entry.

Make it physical

After the reading, choose one object that represents the season: a seed, a leaf, a receipt from a finished project, a key. Put it beside your deck or journal. Let the symbol change as you do.

Tarot cannot make time move faster. It can help you notice which season you are actually living.
